Battleground Warsong Gulch Good Strategy

To those who have no clue what a Battleground: Warsong Gulch means, I'll explain it real quick. This is a creation of Blizzard for the game World of Warcraft. A maximum of 20 players, 10 vs 10, can join this battleground. There are 2 bases opposite each other where there is a flag in each base. The players need to go into the enemies' base, grab the flag and run home. Any side who successfully captures the flag 3 times wins. I've been playing Wow for about 3 years and a half. My favorite in-game activity is playing battleground like: Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley and etc... Among these, WSG is the most popular. In this post, I'm going to share some of the good strategies to win a WSG battleground.

Today, I just played a classic WSG battleground when the enemy players decide to stay on full defend. There are no way for us to break in and grab the flag. I wish I could be invisible and go into the flag room without being detected. My character is a Mage level 78, I actually have Invisibility skill but I have to be quick though. So I come up with an idea. I would wait for a speed bonus inside the tunnel, take it, use Invisibility skill and rush into the flag room. Grab the flag and get out of the room by the other door. I got exactly 8s before the speed bonus fades out. Even though the room is full of the enemy players, it would take them at least 2s to realize that the flag has been taken. By the time my speed bonus fades out, I barely got out of the room and reach the staircase. Now all I need to do is turn on Mana Shield, and keep blinking until I got to the home base safely. This works perfectly well if I have my teammates distract them while I grab the flag.

However, this will not work when the enemy players are going in big groups and control the middle field. I will have no chance to get by them and return the flag safely. The most important thing in WSG battleground is you need to know the playing style of the other team. Are they going in big group, small group, or solo? Do they tend to stay defend more or go offend more? And where are they on the map? If you pay enough attention and observe the movement of the enemy players, you will have a good guess where most of them are on the map and what they are doing. This helps you decide when is a good chance for you to grab the flag and how to do it.
